We are having summer in the middle of April and May should bring on more heat and the start of some afternoon thunderstorms on a regular basis. A lot of Threadfin are on the beach outside of Sebastian Inlet and there have been Snook, a few Tarpon, kingfish, jacks and a bunch of sharks on the beach and they should be roaming the beaches from Melbourne Beach to Sebastian and Vero. The daytime Snook and Redfish bite at Sebastian Inlet has been spotty but should improve through the month of May.
There has been some mullet coming into the lagoon from the ocean and if you can find the schools concentrated, you should be able to find big Trout on the bait pods as well as snook, reds and jacks from Vero Beach to Grant. You may even find a few blues that are hanging around in the warmer waters.
The bull sharks and Jack Crevalle are very active in all of the Creeks from Sebastian to Melbourne already and the action throughout the month of May.
