fishing report

Had a great week of fishing to end the month of February. Had a few
customers from Pennsylvania as well as some locals from the Merritt Island
and the Treasure Coast. We fished Sebastian Inlet as well as Grant and down
to Vero for a few inshore trips. And we fished from Melbourne Beach to
Satellite Beach on a nearshore trip.

The Pompano bite in and around the Sebastian Inlet and along the beach south
of Sebastian Inlet has been good. Mixed in with the pompano are a bunch of
bluefish, jacks and Spanish mackerel. The Trout bite has been a little
better with a few fish this week over 20 inches. We had two days with over
100 fish each day last week!

The Cobia have been hit or miss depending on the fronts. Customers have
caught a few Cobia off of Melbourne Beach that were swimming with the Rays
migrating north. If the Cold fronts don’t come on too strong the Cobia will
start showing up in good numbers over the next few weeks anywhere from Vero
Beach to Sebastian to Melbourne beach.
