I’m Capt. Glyn Austin, the owner and operator of Going Coastal Fishing Charters. Please allow me to introduce myself. I’m a born and raised central Florida native. As a child I was lucky enough to live in Melbourne Beach, within walking distance of both the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River Lagoon. It’s here where my passion for fishing was nurtured going offshore fishing with dad and inshore fishing with mom.
For 21 years I worked in public media relations for Bombardier, the makers of Evinrude outboard motors, working with tournament anglers to promote Evinrude products at fishing tournament circuits around the country. This led to my own participation in regional and national tournaments on the Southern Kingfish Association Tour, with my most recent victory being at the 2009 Key West Harbour Tournament. As my family grew, I began focusing on sharing my passion for fishing with the next generation of anglers, becoming the managing organizer of Space Coast Reel Anglers, a youth organization, dedicated to educating kids on fishing and conservation.My passion is now my full time job. For the past several years I’ve operated a successful fishing guide service based in the Sebastian area. It’s here where my passion for hunting big fish and my desire to educate others on the joys of fishing come together. So whether you’re a hard core angler or a novice looking to just enjoy a day on the water, I’d love the opportunity to show you the great fishing our area has to offer. I look forward to fishing with you.
