July 5 Fishing Report

July 5 Fishing Report

Had a pretty decent bite in Sebastian Inlet despite the cold water moving in from offshore. We have fished from Vero Beach to Melbourne Beach lately along the beaches and found some decent Tarpon, Snook, Snapper, Redfish and even some Amberjack in the shallow reefs close to shore. There have been a few cobia along the beaches from Satellite Beach to Sebastian as well.

Best baits have been live pinfish pinfish and croakers and there are plenty of bait on the flats from Grant to Vero. Big Jack Crevalle have been in the indian river lagoon as well as some trout, snook and a lot of bluefish along the way. Rapala Skitterwalks and soft plastics rigged on VMC Boxer jighwads have been the best baits inshore.
